Devastation In Japan: How You Can Help

We’ve seen the images of the aftermath.  An earthquake so tremendous, a tsunami so forceful, destruction so large.

The 8.9 earthquake, which rocked Japan on March 11, 2011 brought devastation to thousands and affected millions.

When you watch home videos of the quake, hear the fear of those who survived, you can’t but only want to help.  Here’s how you can help with a simple text message or click of the mouse.

The Red Cross:  Donate $10 easily from your phone by texting REDCROSS to 90999.  The $10 will be billed to your wireless bill.

Mivizu: The electronics accessories manufacturer (they make accessories for the iPad, iPhone, etc.) will be donating $1 to the Japanese Red Cross Society for every person who “Likes” their Facebook Fan Page.

International Medical Corps: The International Medical Corps is working to help those in need of medical treatment.  Text MED to 80888 to donate $10.  Again, this will be charged to your wireless bill.

Operation USA: This organization is working to donate bulk medical supplies.  To donate health care supplies, visit opUSA.org.

Salvation Army: The Salvation Army will be sending a team to Sendai, Japan, a severely damaged city.  To donate $10 from your mobile phone, text JAPAN or QUAKE to 80888.
