Dish It: Skinny Vanilla Mocha Frappe

When you go to Starbucks and order their mocha frappe, you can end up drinking more

than 400 calories, depending on the size. This equally delicious recipe only has 180 calories and is easy to make!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 ½ cups Instant Coffee (or a regular cup, whichever you prefer)
  • ½ cup skim milk
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Sugar/Stevia (only if you prefer a sweeter drink)

What You’ll Do:

  • Make your cup of coffee and put into a shallow container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  • After it’s frozen put it in a blender with the milk, stevia, vanilla, and cocoa powder.

Dish It: PB&J S’mores

Every campfire needs a tasty treat. Sometimes, though, you need a break from the same old S’more recipe and this twist on the classic treat will have you begging for more! Betty Crocker’s PB&J s’more may sound a bit strange, but it’s delicious and super easy to make. Keep reading to learn how to whip up these sweet and savory snacks…

What You’ll Need:

Large Marshmallow

Peanut butter

Strawberry jam

Nature Valley dark chocolate granola thins

What You’ll Do:

1. Spear 1 large marshmallow on Long-handled fork; toast over campfire coals or over grill on low heat.

2. For each s’more, place toasted marshmallow on chocolate side of 1 granola thin. Meanwhile, top chocolate side of 1 additional granola thin with 1-teaspoon peanut butter and 1 teaspoon strawberry jam. Press marshmallow and jelly sides together; hold a few second to melt chocolate.

Dish It: National Fresh Veggie Day

Today is Fresh Veggie Day and we can’t get enough seasonal vegetables these days. Here is a recipe for a California Grilled Veggie Sandwich, an easy recipe that is sure to please all BBQ-goers this summer. The best thing about it – besides how delicious it sounds – you can adjust it to your favorite summer vegetables!  The portions below serve four, so don’t keep this tasty bite to yourself.

What You’ll Need:

Seasonings: ¼ cup seasoned Mayonnaise, 1/8 cup olive oil, crumbled Feta cheese

Recommended Veggies: 1 Red Bell Pepper, 1 small Zucchini, 1 small Yellow Squash – all sliced to grill

2 Focaccia bread pieces, open faced

What To Do:

Coat vegetables with olive oil and spread out on grill, keeping the pepper and zucchini towards the middle; cook on each side for about 3 minutes then remove. Spread the mayo on the bread and sprinkle each with feta cheese. Grill mayo & cheese side up for about 2-3 minutes with the lid closed, just enough to warm the bread. Remove from the grill and add your vegetables. Enjoy!
