Utica College must be on Santa’s nice list this year–especially if its plan to abolish GPA’s for freshman becomes a reality!
The Utica College Office of Student Success has proposed to eliminate the GPA for freshman during the fall semester. That means, instead of getting an A through C letter grade, you would get an “S” for “satisfactory.” If you earn a C- or lower, you get the dreaded “U” for, you guessed it, “unsatisfactory.”
Why is Utica doing this? To help first-years ease into the demands of college life and the workload.
I like. Now, if only my school was oh, so understanding of first-year hardships. *Sigh*
Would you want a GPA-free fall semester?
