Spotlight On: Becky Gomez

Last weekend, I was watching a few videos on YouTube when this talented young artist, Becky Gomez, was suggested as another video to watch. Her interpretation of the song “Lighters” was just amazingly original. When she started rapping, I was completely blown away. The 90’s flair she showed really reminded of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes from the girl group TLC. When she started to sing the chorus, I was impressed by the unique quality to her voice.

Becky has done a wide range of covers – from Justin Bieber to Jay-Z – and is able to add her own unique twist to each. She was just signed to The Doctor Luke Sony/RCA Records, who has worked with top artists such as Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Flo Rida. She has true star potential because she’s so original and talented at such a young age. Check her out on Twitter and YouTube!
