This Vanderbilt Student is in a “New York State of Mind”

It’s not everyday that an audience member gets to step up and play along with a musical icon. That’s exactly what happened, however, for one Vanderbilt Student back in January. Michael Pollack made the bold move of asking music legend, Billy Joel, if he could accompany him on the piano during “An Evening of Questions and Answers and a Little Bit of Music” at the university in January 2013.

Joel agreed and together the two put everyone in a “New York State of Mind.” Pollack held his own on the piano during one of Billy Joel’s greatest hits. Check it out and tell us what you think!
