Helping Others in a Time of Need

The massive tornado that hit Central Oklahoma in recent weeks was devastating, even to an area that is accustomed to natural disasters. You might be wondering how you can help out, and NBC has compiled a list of many organizations that could use your help!

Here’s a snippet of some of the organizations mentioned in the article, but be sure to check out the full list for more ways to help out or donate:

American Red Cross: One of the easiest ways to give is to give blood to your local hospital or blood bank. Alternatively, you can easily donate $10 to the Disaster Relief fund by texting REDCROSS to 90999.

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma: To donate $10, text FOOD to 32333, or go online to their website for more options.

Salvation Army: The Salvation Army is sending mobile kitchens to help feed families, and to donate, you can go online or text STORM to 80888.

AmeriCares: This nonprofit is providing medical assistance to survivors. You can donate online, or text LIVE to 25383.
