5 Ways to Add ‘Brainfood’ Into Your Diet

Blueberries, avocado, acai, kale, spinach, chia, and flax seeds, nuts, matcha…the list of superfoods goes on! And guess what: superfoods are also brain food! Here are some easy ways to integrate them into your everyday routine.


1. Blend them into a smoothie.

Blend blueberries, acai, matcha powder, or greek yogurt with a mix of sweeter fruits and juices. If you’re feeling daring, try blending greens as well!

2. Spice up your sandwich.

Instead of just plain old turkey and cheese, try topping your sandwiches with avocado slices, kale or spinach, and other veggies (like zucchini!)  These simple additions deliver a dose of healthy fats, vitamins, and antioxidants to your lunch.

3. Make a parfait.

Greek yogurt, granola, and berries are nutrient-packed foods. Add some walnuts on top and stir in some matcha for added flavor, color, and nutritional benefits.

4. Add some texture to your salad.

Top a salad with flax seeds or chia seeds to add some texture and crunch. Chia and flax contain an insane amount of calcium, Omega 3, and antioxidants! A colorful variety of berries and veggies are also great additions.

5. Superfoods straight.

Blueberries, avocado, walnuts, dark chocolate—all great snacks on the go! Just because they’re healthy doesn’t mean they’re not delish.
