10 Ways to Celebrate the End of Finals

You studied for hours on end, you missed out on valuable sleep and social activities, and then you absolutely killed it on your final exams. What’s next? A much-needed celebration. Here’s what we suggest.

1. Spend a night out with your friends.

You’re not the only one that wants to celebrate the end of exam week—your friends do, too. Hitting all of the town’s hot spots during a friends-night-out is the perfect celebratory activity. Finally, you can let loose and be stress-free!

2. Or, spend a night in and pamper yourself.

On another note, you’re likely exhausted and worn out from stress. How about spending a therapeutic night in with some candles, a good book, and a cup of warm tea? Ahhh…pure relaxation!

3. Go on a day trip.

You may not have the cash to venture off on a whole tropical excursion, but a day trip can be just as fun. Head to the city and see some new sights or spend the day relaxing at a local beach or waterfront.

4. Take an actual vacation.

If taking an extended trip is an option for you, you should totally go for it! It doesn’t have to be too pricey, either. Make use of Groupon deals, save on airfare by opting for a road trip, or bring out your adventurous side and go camping.

5. Grab your favorite meal and indulge.

Pizza, buffalo wings, ice cream…you deserve it all! Not only have you worked hard all exam week, but you’ve pushed through the entire term! Treat yo’self.

6. Throw away all of your syllabi.

Nothing like celebrating the end of finals by saying goodbye to all of the work that caused you stress! You should probably hang onto any study guides or projects that will be beneficial in the future, but something like a syllabus can definitely get tossed.

7. Treat yourself to a nice gift.

Have you been eyeing a new pair of shoes? Is there a new video game you’ve been dying to play? Your hard work deserves to be rewarded, so pat yourself on the back by treating yourself to a nice little gift!

8. Take a really long nap.

Sleep deprived is probably an understatement, am I right? Grab your favorite blanket and pillow, head to your favorite nap spot, and doze off for as long as you want. There’s no shame…you earned it!

9. Have a Netflix marathon.

Speaking of having no shame, it’s a great time to kick back and marathon your favorite shows on Netflix. Talk about being stress-free!

10. Get started on fun activities you previously didn’t have time for.

Schoolwork and classes can take up a lot of free time—especially during finals week. Now that that’s all over, think about what you’ve been itching to do but never had time for. Maybe it’s picking up a new hobby, or maybe it’s as simple as spending more time outdoors.

actually keep your syllabi in case =X especially if you are in graduate school! You may need them in the future as proof if you move out of state/country, etc
