Thanks to Beyoncé, lemonade really had its moment in the sun last year. But, we can’t let summer’s other classic beverage – iced tea – miss out on its time in the spotlight! We’ve scoured the internet for some of the most tantalizing twists on this tasty drink and thought that – with National Iced Tea day approaching – now would be the perfect time to share them. Enjoy!

Matcha Mint Iced Tea

We’re old fans of matcha, the antioxidant-packed powder that’s made its way into smoothies, lattes, and more. You can imagine our delight when we stumbled upon this minty iced tea concoction from Love & Lemons! The ingredient list might be small, but the flavor is big.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsps cooking grade matcha
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • a handful of mint
  • optional: honey or cane sugar

Mango Raspberry Iced Tea

Healthy? Delicious? Easy to make? Sign us up! We’re obsessed with this Mango-Raspberry twist on iced tea from Dinner at the ZooIt doesn’t take long to make, so feel free to whip up a batch whenever you feel inspired (or thirsty)!

What You’ll Need:

  • 6 cups of water
  • 6 black tea bags
  • 2 cups of mango nectar or juice
  • 1 ½ cups of fresh mango slices
  • 2 cups raspberries
  • optional: mint sprigs
  • optional: honey, to taste

Yield: 6 servings

Vegan Thai Iced Tea

Though richer than our previous two options, this Thai iced tea from The Minimalist Baker is just as refreshing! If you’re looking for a creamier tea, this is the one for you.

What You’ll Need:

  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 2 Tbsp loose-leaf black tea
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or agave nectar)
  • 1/4 cup packed organic brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 14-ounce can light coconut milk (vanilla almond milk or rice milk will work too)

Yield: 4 servings
