You know what they say — time flies when you’re having fun! It’s bittersweet realizing that in just the blink of an eye, summer is already quickly coming to an end. Check out a few of the ways we suggest soaking up the last few weeks of the season.
1. Plan one last trip.
Whether you want to take a whole road trip to a new state, or hit up a local camp site with a couple of friends, there’s definitely still time for one last trip. Gather the crew together and figure out where you’ll head to!
2. Cool off at the pool or beach.
Summer might be ending soon, but the sweltering heat isn’t gone just yet! Another beach or pool day is the perfect reminder that there’s still time for fun in the sun before classes start back up again.
3. Head outdoors when you can.
Reading a book? Do it outside. Eating lunch? Bring it outside. Getting some exercise? Take a run outside. The summer weather won’t last forever, so enjoy it while it’s here!
4. Have a cookout.
Here’s a great way to gather all of your friends from home for one last hurrah before everyone heads back to school! Hosting a cookout is easy as long as everyone contributes a dish. Just don’t forget the bug candles (summer isn’t over for them, either)!
5. Plan any activities you’ve been meaning to get to.
You know how when summer was first starting, you had a massive list of all the things you were excited about doing? How many of those things did you actually get around to? If there’s anything still on your list, use these next few weeks to cross them off!
