7 Ways to Feel a Little Bit Cozier This Fall

Colder temperatures, shorter days…While this may seem less than ideal for some, we’re so ready for it. Why? It means it’s finally that time of year when you can focus on all things cozy! Here are just a few ways to get started.

1. Warm up with hot cocoa or apple cider.

While we love a good piping hot cup of coffee, there’s something about hot chocolate and warm apple cider that just seems extra cozy. 

 

 

2. Put together a fall reading list.

Since you’re getting all snug with that cup of hot chocolate, why not take the coziness up a level and dive into a good book, too? Now THAT sounds perfect.

 

3. Indulge in some baked goods.

From baked apples to pumpkin pies, ’tis the season to indulge in these sweet comfort foods! Only have a mini fridge and microwave to work with? Don’t sweat it — you can check out some easy fall mug recipes here.

 

4. Find the perfect throw blanket.

A good throw blanket is a must for the colder months. If you’re feeling up to it, you can even make your own chunky cable-knit throw blanket (You know, those ones you always see on Pinterest)! We personally like this DIY.

 

5. Stock up on fall accessories.

Hoodies, scarves, boots, over-sized socks…we absolutely love all the fall accessories that come along with sweater weather. It’s always good when you can look cute while staying cozy, right?

 

 

6. Pick the perfect comforting playlist.

Whether you’re laying in bed, walking to class or studying in the library, a soothing playlist is the perfect way to feel extra cozy this fall. We personally like Coffeehouse Radio on Pandora and Relax & Unwind on Spotify.

 

7. Plan some movies nights.

Hayrides, pumpkin picking, football games…Fall has some of the best activities, no doubt about it! But the most comforting one? Hands down, it’s got to be spending a night in watching movies with your friends.
