Unexpected Places to Shop for Holiday Gifts

Holiday shopping is hard. Should you face the madness of the crowds at the mall? Will your dad be happy if you gift him yet another tie or watch? What if your best friend already has that makeup palette you were thinking of buying? Let’s take some of that weight off of your shoulders. Check out some of the unexpected places to shop for holiday gifts that we listed below.

Vendor Fairs

Keep an eye out in your community for local craft or vendor fairs. These vendors often sell unique, handmade gifts that you certainly won’t find anywhere else.

Your Campus Bookstore

Your campus bookstore is filled with school-spirited gifts that many would smile over — from the alumni who holds their Alma Mater near and dear to their heart, to your proud parents and grandparents who want to humbly brag with a school-logo adorned sweatshirt or mug. But aside from all things school spirit related, there are plenty of toys, games, books and other collectibles at your campus bookstore as well.

Online Fan Shops

Whether your loved one is a die-hard sports fan, geeks out over some hilarious YouTube vlogger, or goes crazy whenever their favorite artist drops new music, there’s likely an online fan shop where you can scope out some cool merch they’d love.

Convenience Store

No, seriously! If you’re just looking for some simple stocking stuffers, you can grab candy, gift cards, and lottery tickets right at the corner convenience store.

Grocery Store

The best gifts are the ones that have a lot of thought behind them, so how about picking up ingredients for that special someone’s favorite recipe? You can make it for them, or you can plan a day where you guys can hang out in the kitchen and cook together.

Craft Store

If you’re a creative individual, how about making a handmade gift? A quick stop at your local craft store will allow you to pick up all the supplies you need.
