The Guac Recipe You Need at Your Summer Barbecue

While burgers and hot dogs might be the typical star of any backyard summer barbecue, we’re firm believers that the experience isn’t complete unless you have a robust selection of snacks and sides. We have to say (and we think you’ll agree), guacamole dip and chips are always a fan favorite. So, the next time you’re heading to a barbecue, leave the grilling to the experts and try your hands at this easy guac recipe.




  • 2 avocados
  • 1 small plum tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt, to taste




Step one: Scoop and mash avocado in a large bowl.

Step two: Mix in tomato, red onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste.

Step three: Allow to sit in fridge for an hour before serving.
