Need a Summer Job? Work from Home

Remember that catchy Fifth Harmony song from a few years back, “Work from Home?” Maybe they were totally onto something with that hit single, and it got us thinking… how can we actually work from home? If set schedules and busy commutes aren’t your thing, keep reading and see how we suggest earning some cash without leaving the comfort of your home!

Online Surveys

Taking online surveys is a quick and easy way to earn some extra income. Some companies offer a set amount of cash for each completed survey, while others go by a redeemable point system, which can later be exchanged for a cash reward or gift card. Simple, right?!

Are you strong in a particular subject, such as math or grammar? Many students would love your help! Try signing up to be an online tutor. Helping others sharpen their skills feels great!

If writing is your strength, put that to use! Publications commonly offer a chunk of money when they use articles submitted by freelancers. Not really the journalist type? There are also freelance opportunities available for designers, web developers, social media, and more!

Direct Sales

Standing behind a register all day isn’t all that exciting, and the retail horror stories that circulate the internet can scare anyone out of this type of job! Instead, you can sell a brand’s merchandise right from home. Companies such as Mary Kay and Chloe + Isabel are just a few of the many brands that offer this type of service.

Online Selling

Ever think of opening an Etsy shop? There are many opportunities to sell your work on this platform. Whether you’ve got a knack for creating jewelry or you’re a DIY master, you can certainly earn some extra cash for your creations.

Data Entry

Many data entry jobs are available remotely, so you can get paid without even leaving your bed! A data entry job simply requires you to input data into spreadsheets. It might be a bit tedious, buy hey, you don’t even have to change out of your pajamas!

Yeah, if you are going to write about something how about have some legitimate sources to go with it. There are more scams than real job opportunities for work at home, I should know & if you do find a legitimate one, they will try to work you to death & then they will let you go for some ridiculous reason so NO, that’s not the way to go especially for a college student, I doubt it will pan out, in fact, I’m pretty certain, it won’t!

Hi Mrs. K! These were just some suggestions for students considering alternative job options! Thanks for your feedback. 🙂

OH I know, it’s just I wanted them to know that there are more pitfalls out there than anything else. I searched for 15 years before finding a legitimate one & really that was a fluke cause I had all but given up when I found it & had been scammed so many times or wasn’t given all the correct information & a part time job turned into a full time job so you really have to be careful about giving suggestions that will turn out to be nothing more than heartache. I have a daughter in college & I’ve already taught her all about this. The best jobs for students is to get something on campus cause they will work around your schedule unless they have a great boss like my daughter & she just works on weekends so she can focus on her studies during the week. She tends to take too much on alot so I have to reign her in cause she gets too stressed out. I was just stressing to anyone who reads this that this kind of job isn’t really a good way to go when you are trying to earn money cause all you’ll do is lose money. I would love another legitimate online job but I’ve yet to find one & it’s been 3 years since the last one I had.
