5 To-Do List Apps You Should Download This Year

Out with the old, in with the new. It’s time to say goodbye to those paper to-do lists you’ve been using to stay organized. After all, they always get lost, disorganized, and they can’t *ping* you with a little reminder the way an app can. Check out some of our favorite to-do list apps below.

1. Wunderlist

This straight-to-the-chase app makes it easy to manage multiple checklists and to-do lists at once — From your grocery lists to your reading lists. You can also assign tasks to friends and family, and create subtasks and comments on your lists.

2. Evernote

We love Evernote because it’s much more than just a to-do list. It’s also a note-taking platform that you can sync across multiple devices (perfect for your classes!), and you can scan things like handwritten notes, business cards and more. If you’re looking for organization beyond just standard checklists, this app is your best bet.

3. Todoist

We love that Todoist has a feature that tracks your progress — It gives you more of an incentive to actually complete your tasks. Other features include syncing across multiple devices, delegating tasks on shared projects, color-coded task priority levels, and the ability to add recurring due dates.

4. Any.do

This app has a unique feature that gives reminders based on your location — like reminding you to pick up your dry-cleaning when the laundromat is nearby. Pretty neat, huh? But aside from that, you’ll get all the bells and whistles you’d expect in a to-do list app. You can sync it with your other devices, share and assign tasks, and even manage a calendar.

5. Strides Habit Tracker

This app is different than your standard to-do list that reminds you of things like writing your essay and getting groceries. Instead, this app reminds you of the positive habits and goals you want to adopt into your day. Think of things like drinking more water, going for a morning run, or losing weight. You can set reminders just like you would on the other to-do list apps, and you can also track your progress along the way.
